We are a family of six and very involved in our community. Our desire in building a home was to incorporate our visual desires along with our view of family and friends (entertaining) into the plan. We needed an architect who would not only have the ability to plan a home that is visually amazing, but also one who could use information about our life-style to influence space, flow, noise, and light.

We love many of the modern homes designed in Florida in the mid 1950's and 1960's, but are not big retro-fans with the details: we wanted a home influenced by that time period but with current details and a more sleek style.

Danny, of Dura Architecture, captured that balance perfectly and created a visually stunning home. One of the biggest features is the sunroom/kitchen area. Most days, it is not necessary to turn on any lights because of the natural light that streams into the room from the many windows and glass doors.

In addition, Danny seamlessly divided the living space from the bedroom wing, which allows our four children to study or sleep undisturbed at night when we are entertaining.

Capturing a balance between aesthetic and function were crucial to our family and Danny did so perfectly.
